Leonard and Willy, (Oma and Opa), who live in Placerville, California, have three gorgeous females. These girls enjoy the beautiful views surrounding their home in the foothills. They are loved and cherished in this Dutch household, and respond readily to Dutch commands and phrases, especially the words for "dinner time!"

Six months after Emily received Ginger, it was "Oma's" turn to get her special puppy. Willy flew from California to Ohio to pick up her beloved "Mija" - a Black Irish Pied Havanese. Mija comes from Candy Gaudry's Dutch line. Both of Mija's parents, "Willow" & "Mijo" are champions who were placed as puppies with Candy from the Dutch kennel, "Mucho Bravo." This was fine with Willy, who was born and raised in Holland. Her husband Leonard speaks Dutch fluently, so it only seemed fitting that this little Dutch cutie was placed into a Dutch household.
Mija is the perfect example of a sweet, comical Havanese. She adjusted quickly to life with her two large Bouvier "big sisters." It was amazing how quickly she sized up the situation and maneuvered her way into running the show. She loves it when the grandchildren visit: PLAY TIME!
Mija's coat is straight, soft and silky, with little or no undercoat. It's very easy to care for.
Mija has wonderful markings and a beautiful face.
Mija has been an awesome pet for her owners, Leonard and Willy. She enjoys going "everywhere" with them, and likes to ride nicely in the Walmart shopping cart's kiddie seat as she shops with them. She puts her front paws on the handle, and happily surveys her surroundings. Needless to say, she usually draws an admiring crowd. Spoiled? Naaahhhh!

Meet Chloe! She's a gorgeous black & white parti from Sweet Honesty Havanese in Holland. Our good friend, Meta von Hout has trusted us with this beautiful girl. She fits in perfectly with Leonard and Willy's Dutch household.
Check out Meta's website to get an idea of how beautifully Chloe was bred.

Here's an adorable picture of Chloe and her Sweet Honesty "big sister", Cookie, taken while they were still in Holland. Meta flew them both out in April, 2005. She brought Cookie to be shown in the U.S., and delivered Chloe to her new home and family. Congratulations to Cookie for earning her AKC championship during her stay in the U.S.
Here's Chloe at six months. She's one gorgeous girl, ready for the show ring.
Emily finally got to meet Chloe when she visited her Oma and Opa in California in February, 2006. Chloe is 15 months old in this picture. They became fast friends. By the way, Chloe has gone through an obvious color change! She has evolved from a black and white parti, to a blue and white parti!! It's a very becoming new color, Chloe!

Meet Tessa. She is a beautiful sable female from Delta Dawn Havanese in Delta, OH. Here she is at 6 weeks old. She has a wonderful structure and lots of brindled sable color. Oma flew out from California a couple of weeks later to pick her up and bring her home. Tessa has "Mucho Bravo" on both sides of her pedigree, which of course officially qualifies her as a "Dutch Cutie."
Tessa is a litter mate to Simon, seen on the Ohio Bunch page. They were bred by Delta Dawn Havanese, Delta, OH. The entire litter of 6 were gorgeous. Check out their websight: www.deltadawnkennels.com Thank you so much, Rachel and Donell!
Here's Rachel Schnur with Tessa and Simon's father, Teddy at a dog show in Columbus. Teddy needed just one more point for his championship. He finished in style, with a 5 point major! (There is Emily with Shelly in the background.)
Willy and Tessa bonded immediately. Tessa snuggled right up to her new "mommy," and made a very easy adjustment to her new surroundings. What an adorable puppy she is, with a friendly, loving and playful personality. And... could she possibly be any cuter? Soon she'll meet her two Havie sisters waiting for her in California.
Tessa is quickly winning the hearts of all who know her. We are thrilled with this newest Howyk's Havanese cutie.
Here's Tessa at 4 months old with one of her big sisters, Mija. They're enjoying a romp around the 5 acres they help guard in the beautiful California foothills. Tough job!
Tessa is 5 months old in this picture. We love her gorgeous structure and her sweet, loving personality.
Tessa is often found following or snuggling up to her big sister, Chloe. They are the best of friends.
Orange trees give great shade!
Tessa is developing into a beautiful female. We adore her.
Here she is at 1 year old - looking absolutely stunning. She has a gorgeous face, awesome coat and fabulous structure. What a girl! Her successes in the show ring are detailed on the Show Brags Page.
